I finally moved here - “You lack a foot to travel?”

Moving from the wordpress blog is proving to be more excruciating than I had thought. In addition, being technically challenged does not help either. Nevertheless, I have moved with my bags, posts and dreams. The site is still under construction and polishing it will take time. Let’s hope I can keep up with the techncial demands and the urge to post more.

I have to thank my friend JC who has been so patient with my questions, silly observations and constant pestering. In addition, I have to thank Shirazibhai, Mahipal, Ghufran, Tamania, Mohib Mian, Zia, Mayank and several other friends for giving valuable suggestions and useful advice. I am amazed at how, in less than a year, I have found some great friends in the blogosphere.

However, I need to improve this website further -  so the process will continue until the format and design of this space reaches some sort of an aesthetic and functional equilibrium!

Please do leave your reactions and suggestions here. These would be most useful.

And as I thought of my inconsequential (well, in the larger scheme of things!) cyber-journey, and the associated blues, I was yet again reminded by my master, Rumi:

You lack a foot to travel?
     Then journey into yourself!
And like a mine of rubies
     receive the sunbeams? print!
Out of yourself ? such a journey
will lead you to your self,
It leads to transformation
     of dust into pure gold!

Initially I thought that you are probably a literary kind of a person who is also by nature a technophobe. But I was mistaken. It seems that you have acquired the best of both worlds. And amazingly your URL doesnot even contains /blog epithet 2 Raza Rumi says: June 16th, 2007 at 2:55 am thanks for the kind words..though I am a complete technophobe, I confess. Please keep visiting and tell me how to improve this site. cheers,RR 3 Sajid Baloch says: June 16th, 2007 at 9:56 pm Dear Raza, Congratulations on the new web site. If your life is inconsequential when you are affecting the lives of so many people in your professional life, then God help the lesser mortals ! (and I have yet to count the hearts touched by this blog/site). As Amjad Islam Amjad said “Kyon ata hua hai ghubar mein, gham-i-zindagi kai fishar mein”. It is always a pleasure reading you. Best wishes, Sajid 4 the olive ream says: June 17th, 2007 at 4:41 am Very nicely done, Raza! I really like the new structured look of the site. The three column layout works perfectly here, along with your own unique domain name. [...]
