Khud sooy e ma na deed o haya ra bahana sakht
Zahid na dasht tab e jamal e pari rukhan
Kunji girift o yad-e-khuda ra bahana sakht
Raftam ba masjidi ke babinam jamal-e dost
Dasti ba rukh kashid-o-dua ra bahana sakht
Daste ba dosh-e ghair nihade bar-e karam(Az-reh Karam))

The poet is unknown. Some argue that this is Mirza Qateel’s poem, which is incorrect. i did a little research and though radeef, kafia or zameen are the same but still that’s a totally different poem.
Mirza Qateel’s poem goes like this –
dar justujooi bood Sikandar lab e turaa
bechaara shauq e aab e baqaa raa bahaana saaKht
dar bazm e Ghair raft o mai az Khum ba-jaam kard
dooram nishaand o tangi e jaa raa bahaana saaKht
shab bar zameeN ze ‘aalam e masti nihaad sar
baa maa sahar namaaz e ‘eshaa raa bahaana saaKht
khoon-e? qateel-e be sar-o paa ra ba paa-e khwesh
maleed aan nigar-o hina ra bahana sakht
Mirza – as experts say- was born in 1760 (in Punjab, India somewhere) and died around 1820. which means he was not a 19th century poet. Accounts tell Mirza Ghalib didnt like Qateel’s poetry and always criticized him.

REf. Key Vocabulary. It is not Sakht (strong) but Saakht (made) from Saakhtan (to make). She killed me with ‘ghamza’ and made ‘qaza’ an excuse.
