Like you I have no axe to grind with the inevitable technological development of humankind, but in its wake one can often see the badly bruised remains of culture heritage. The loss of cultural and cultural heritage can be a subtle affair but the world still loses a little piece of itself, its history and identity; as we march towards progress and a cultural uniformity that seems to look, feel and taste the same for everyone; if you've been to one shopping mall, you've been to them all. So the preservation of cultural identities is something that I, like you, believe will keep us connected to some truly amazing experiences that our respective cultures have enjoyed for hundreds and in some cases thousands of years, experiences that produce a platform for communication and interaction between those of us who realise that the more we share, the more we understand each other and the closer we become. I have joined Experience My Culture (www.experiencemyculture.com) for those very reasons (It's a brand new site, all about culture). I have posted my cultural profile and I would like to read the profile of the Art and Culture restoration and conversation project. I think it's a great idea, you should promote it through the EMC site. I look forward to seeing you there. Zencomms. Hi Raza, Shaheen,
