A nostalgic trip to childhood. My grand ma used to tell me stories from Hatim Tai, Alif Laila and Amir Hamza. While in school, I had read the book in Urdu.

Ah still remember those ‘umroo ayar ki zanbeel’ and dastans

Shame our young generation take more pride and interest in reading/watching the Harry Potters and Lord of the rings,nowadays..and feel these dastans so outdated.But surely,they are not solely responsible for this.

Interesting, I fondly remember reading books about amir hamza and all other characters like umroo ayar etc when I was growing up in Pakistan. I think those books got me interested and hooked on reading for the rest of my life. BTW have you read the The Wish Maker…i just picked it up but haven’t started it yet
