Kabeer and a few words of love

Pothi Padh Padh Kar Jag Mua, Pandit Bhayo Na Koye
Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Jo Padhe So Pandit Hoye

Spending one’s life reading the scriptures, no one becomes wise
He becomes wise on reading a few words of love

  1. Raza,
Does the word ‘scriptures’ refer to religious writings here? If indeed it does then that’s an interesting quote:

    religious writings vs love sonnets/poetry…

    and love wins!

  2. Id: yes indeed it refers to the formal scripts of the religious variety..
But it is love that is paramount..

  3. for u deitel

  4. Love humiliates, that is why it much more an effective way to learn than scriptures.
and Isnt that the whole point of spirituality?

    ‘humility’ is the key word.
