Well OK, second best if you count in the army. It figures for they have a lot to lose if Pakistan steps back into Neanderthal times. What I can’t spot is the marginalized, the dispossessed, the unsung teeming millions that make up most of Pakistan. If Taliban come, their lives are not going to be anymore wretched than what it is probably now. The violation of Chand Bibi may not be as traumatic to someone who suffers depredation daily to keep body and soul together. So unless one can figure out a way to rope in these guys, for all I know, the liberals may be fighting for a lost cause. Raza
