Shubha is no doubt a very soulful singer, must say one of the best these days. I am fortunate to know her and her family, particularly her father, Skandgupta, who was a contemporary of Harivanshrai Bacchan and Firaq in Allahabad, also a great cricket buff and a well-known radio commentator for cricket matches. I am sure you enjoyed your homecoming during August cheers irfan Dear Raza,

Unfortunately, the intelligentsia in India as well as Pakistan wanted to follow one path ignoring the creation of hurdles. The 'awwaam' are not isloated from the happening in streets as are Najam and his friends. We become tolerant because of the safety and comfort of our airconditioned abodes. I am not against the style of living etc which most of the haves sight, being the reason for rise of extremism in South Asia. What we 'haves' are missing here is that the likes of Shubha Mudgal etc do participate in company of those who preach hate here. Mere, absence of Islam as religion, guarantees them that they are not castigated. With the claim of common heritage put aside, even the Pakistanis question the 'status quo' mentality of Indian Muslims while keeping silence on the mirror extemism of India which has been ruling this country of India ever since JL Nahru's demise. The Benazir's in Pakistan have not fared any better. May I say that you do not want to part with your bottle and want it without paying taxes as well, is the main cause of you telling their failure which have been accrued to the so called liberal group with them being at the helm of affairs many a times. The turmoil in Indian society is not being highlighted which will require us to pay a big price, it increases as we delay. Fair play demands open eyes I read this on Indian Muslims. "<i>Khwab Marte Nahin Khwab Dil Hain Na Aankhen Na Saansen Ki Jo Reza Reza Huai To Bikher Jayenge Jism Ki Maut Se Yeh Bhi Mar Jayenge Khwab Marte Nahin Khwab To Harf Hain Khwab To Noor Hain Khwab Suqrat Hain Khwab Mansoor Hain</i>" I should perhaps also quote from Ahmed Faraz, to create a virtual poetic conversation…

Khwab Marte Nahin
Khwab Dil Hain Na Aankhen Na Saansen Ki Jo
Reza Reza Huai To Bikher Jayenge
Jism Ki Maut Se Yeh Bhi Mar Jayenge
Khwab Marte Nahin

Khwab To Harf Hain
Khwab To Noor Hain
Khwab Suqrat Hain
Khwab Mansoor Hain
