That was a comprehensive write up! Pakistan's poetic tradition must have some very deep roots for it to have such great incisive and reflective writers who captured the very nuance of a generation that felt cheated of its 'dawn'!</description>

coming back to this blog entry, i wonder if countries with stable democracies (read those countries where basic civil right
not being violated), do these societies have a tradition of non-conformist literature. could we have had a Faiz or Jalib
in a thriving democracy I wonder?</description>
