"Kite Runner" and Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns".. also Paulo Coelho's "Alchemist" (only 175 pages) should be taught in all so-called Muslim countries/societies in "O" / "A" levels as a text book [Non-Detailed]. Muslims are getting far from Literature / Humanities! This will lead to catastrophic civilisational disaster. Watching is fine... but reading-and-writing is crucial and not-negotiable. Kamleshwar translated "Alchemist" into Hindi (Hind Prakashan / ?)., priced at Rs. 450/- Indian Rupees. In the Friday Sermons, Mullahs must encourage young muslim boys and girls to read Literature... to read Paulo Coelho... and Khaled Hosseini. Mental Make-Up Zaroori hai... otherwise we may have fly-overs and High-rises... but a very very low civilisational index. Khaled Hosseini wrote a fine book. Is it the current regime in Kabul that could not really survive for long without the help of occupation forces or the statue-blasting Taliban who are likely to take over, if the occupation forces leave in the foreseeable future.
