Undoubtedly Kishori is a rare artiste. As a teenager, someone gifted me a tape of 2 Ragas sung by her (Baaje `cha`na Na ! ).. probably 'twas Raga Behaag. I lost those tapes. Over the years, I have heard a lot of Kishori. Her singing is ethereal. Try to have a collection of Kishori Amonkar's singing... she is the rarest of the rare jewel. I dont want to exaggerate, but in this case, she deserves it. KISHORI AMONKAR… when she sings one is transported on to another realm. Undoubtedly Kishori is a rare artiste.
