I wish 'art' could 'deal with society'! Not meaning to be nehative but in the current day art merely holds a mirror to what is happening around us and sometimes the medium of expression is so subjective (modern art) that the subject/theme of the composition completely eludes a layperson. If art has to make an impact it has to reach the masses; the question is , does it?

I couldn't agree with you more that "Art has always been relevant to the human condition and is a primordial expression of peace and hope." and that
"Artists such as Pearapong are confirming the relevance of art to a tolerant society." Afterall the art of an era reflects its civilization.
