Salam,
Sweet sentiments. There is an amazing polyphonic book called 'Bangla Language Movement to Bangladesh' by Anwar and Afia Dil, published by Ferozsons. Id really value you're reflections on it. Its written to help us understand.

Also, the poem my Nazrul that you have quoted, is my favorite..

Bidrohi ronoklanto...

I'm really glad that you liked it. I'm a big fan of Allama Iqbal and Faiz too =)

We have so much share with each other and so much to learn. It's sad how we hardly ever try.

Thank you for sharing this with me.

I'm glad that #2 Mashroof also agrees that Bangladeshis mostly have an overgeneralized view as far as Pakistanis are concerned. Perhaps because so few of us have had the opportunity to actually visit Pakistan.

My greatest achievement, with respect to my article, has been this interest I have been able to incite in Bangladeshis with regards to Pakistan. My parents and elders, who had called Pakistan their desh for 23 years had never visited this land. Today, they tell me how they want to visit. My friends, upon hearing my stories, want to experience the warmth of the Pukhtuns. Everyone I meet these days wants to hear more stories about Pakistan. It's sad that I was there for only 7 days.

I hope people on your side read your article and come and visit us here in Bangladesh.

I am glad that people like you and me write. I am also happy about the fact that people like Mashroof participate and help us have a dialogue about where we are wrong.

Best,

Fariha

Dear Tahir,

Being a Bangladeshi I am really amazed to see that you have noticed so many things in Dhaka-with such minute details!.It looks like I had an overgeneralized view towards you people...

I wish some day I will visit Pakistan and see the things myself which Fariha wrote in her article!
