“The sea is seeking you” (Rumi)
Silence is the sea, and speech is like the river.
The sea is seeking you: don’t seek the river.
Don’t turn your head away from the signs offered by the sea.

Beautiful! Sometimes i wonder that the translations are so moving so what would it be like to read Rumi in Persian- if one understood Persian.

One of my favorite Rumi quotes
When you speak, you ony hear yourself, and learn nothing new. Keep silent, and the mysteries open to you. In the Nimatullahi Sufi khaniqahs, there is a framed saying on the wall:
“Silence, for breath is a Godsend.”
Ya Haqq!
