Two poems with a fresh diction
Ayesha Salman is a sensitive writer. Like many new writers, she is searching for the right publisher. She is currently revising the manuscript of her first novel.
I am posting her two moving poems “Mother” and “Love”. Her poem Mother was earlier published in the Smoke magazine, UK. I like her imagery that is both stark and colourful. Both the poems have a haunting quality

Both poems are beautiful..a touching simplicity and sensitive exploration of meaning.I loved this oriental depth of feelling in approaching both topics:mother and love.I’m a poet myself and I felt and was moved by the tenderness of what you tried to express. Thank you

“hate”, “sucks”? Just because you didn’t “understand” Ayesha’s work surely does not warrant a reaction as violent and extreme as yours Jessica. If I were you, I’d refrain from speaking on behalf of all the other readers.
Please don’t blame your inabilitiy to understand something on another person’s efforts to express herself.
Ayesha - I love your work - “always have”.
Cheers!
